Established in 2017 by Peter Young, founder of IOG Plc, Cornerstone has an experienced Board with a proven capability to deliver value and growth for shareholders. Management have significant North Sea operational expertise which will be used to develop the Company’s multiple gas opportunities in the Southern Gas Basin.
Peter Young CEO
Peter Young has a wealth of oil and gas board experience of over 15 years, and notably was the founder of IOG plc.
He has had a successful oil and gas banking and commodities career and has a BA in Business Economics, MSc Corporate & International Finance.
John McMurtrie CFO
John McMurtrie is a FCCA qualified senior finance professional, with over 20 years’ experience in oil and gas.
He has significant expertise in working with banks and brokers to secure structured financing via Norwegian and Convertible Bonds, RBL’s and revolving and working capital facilities.
He has formerly worked at IOG plc and with Salamander Energy, Ophir Energy, Enquest and Jadestone.
Iain McKendrick Non-Executive Director
Iain McKendrick has over 30 years’ international oil and gas experience, having held various UK and International senior positions with Total Energies.
He is the former COO and CEO of Ithaca Energy; during his time the market capitalisation grew 23 times through acquisition and developments.
Julian Tedder Non-Executive Director
Julian Tedder has over 20 years’ experience in the industry and is the CFO of San Leon Energy PLC and ex CFO of IGas Energy PLC.
He was also the former General Manager of finance at Tullow Oil.
Richard Jameson Board Advisor
Richard Jameson has over 35 years’ experience in Project, Engineering, Production, Operations Management and Decommissioning, with an impressive track record of implementing major projects and optimising production operations for blue chip companies.
He holds qualifications in Business Administration, Mechanical and Production Engineering, and is a Chartered Marketeer.
Andy Wilson Project Director
Andy Wilson has over 35 years’ experience of oil and gas field development with a major oil company and smaller independent E&P companies.
Most recently this covered the Catcher area development of an FPSO with 3 subsea tiebacks.
Has a wide range of knowledge covering all aspects of oil/gas field development including subsurface/wells/facilities and commercial negotiations.
Has liaised directly with regulatory bodies such as the OGA (Now NSTA) to ensure smooth and timely approvals.
